- Written confirmation from a recognised nursing educational establishment in the UK that you have been accepted in an adaptation course leading to registration as a nurse with the NMC.

- Decision letter from the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK stating you are able to practice in the UK without adaptation or supervised practice.
- If you require a period of adaptation, you should apply as a student nurse.

- Your registration/Board Certificate
- Letter from NMC confirming that you require undertaking a period of adaptation.

- Must have been working for at least one year as minister of religion. Of if a missionary, must have been trained as a missionary or worked as a missionary and is being sent to the UK by an overseas organisation.

- A member of a religious order coming to the UK must live in a community maintained by a religious order.

- Intend to work full time as a minister of religion or missionary.

- Does not intend to take employment except with the terms stated above.

- Able to maintain and accommodate including any dependants adequately without recourse to public funds.

- A letter from your employer in the UK giving details of your expected duties.

- A contract of employment (if you have one), i.e. teaching in the establishment maintained by the religious order.

- Documentary evidence of any qualifications you have fo the job and details of your past experience

- A written undertaking from your employer to provide adequate maintenance and accommodation including a separate bedroom

- Financial evidence from your employer showing their ability to support and accommodate you in the UK, e.g. bank statements covering a period of 6 months prior to application. Confirmation of how many people are presently renting or living in the property.

- Please note workers travelling to the UK must be aged between 18-65 and be able to provide documentary evidence that they have worked in their employer’s household continuously for 12 months immediately preceding the application. (Workers employed in diplomatic households in the UK are exempt from this condition).

- Doctors & Dentists who qualify overseas and who wish to apply for registration with the GMC or GDC are required first to pass the test of the Professional and Linguistic Assessment Board to demonstrate their knowledge of English and their medical expertise.

- A graduate intending to undertake pre-registration House Officer employment for up to 12 months.
-
- Are a doctor or dentist eligible for full or limited registration with the General Medical Council or with the General Dental Council who intends to undertake postgraduate training in a hospital or the Community Health Services or both; and
-
- Intend to leave the UK on completion of the training period.

- Be able to maintain and accommodate themselves and their dependants without recourse to public funds.

- A fully qualified doctor or dentist and wish to take up employment will need a work permit.

- Spouses and children under 18 of someone who is admitted to the UK in one of the categories of employment for which a work permit is not required may be admitted to UK with them if they have a visa for this purpose.

- They will have to show that there will be adequate accommodation in the UK for them and that they will be adequately maintained without recourse to public funds.

- Annulment or divorce papers of applicant and sponsor if necessary.

- Evidence that you and your sponsor have remained in contact during sponsor’s absence from the Philippines. Telephone bills and personal letter may help.

- A copy of marriage licence or the original marriage certificate from the country where the marriage took place.

- Any other documentary evidence that may assists your application showing that you relationship is subsisting.

If you are a child under 18 years and are joining just one of your parents, evidence will be required as to the whereabouts of the other parent.
If you have been away longer than 2 years you may still qualify to return to the UK as a resident, if, for example you have strong family ties or have lived there most of your life.
If you have been away for more than 2 years you are advised to apply for a visa.
